Scott Cunningham was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on June 27, 1956. He moved to San Diego, California when he was quite young and remained there until his passing in March 28, 1993.
Scott Cunningham was a solitary Wiccan, though he occasionally practiced with others and was known to be initiated into several traditions.
He believed that Wicca should be more open to new seekers and write many books to that end, making him one of the most influential authors in the American Wiccan community.
In addition to Wicca, Mr. Cunningham explored a number of new-age topics in his life and his writing.
