What ‘Drawing’ Means for Witches: Magickal Context

|

By Morningbird

The word “draw” in magickal context refers to creating an energetic atmosphere that brings in a certain type of energy. A “drawing spell” sets up a magnetic situation that draws in a certain type of energy that may manifest as a situation or even a person.

For example, a business owner may perform a spell to draw customers, a homeowner may cast a spell upon her home to draw abundance and/or joy. A person may cast a spell upon himself to draw friends or romantic partners. A practitioner may cast a spell upon an ailing person to draw healing energies.

Although this isn’t always the case, an object is often used to hold the drawing energy. This object acts as a magnet to draw in or attract the desired energy. It may be referred to as an amulet or a charm or simply a drawing sachet.

Various symbols are also believed to have the power to draw specific energies to them.
