I have no interest in your business or in sharing your business with anyone else. I care about privacy. I really mean it, I’m not just saying it because everyone says it.
I have ended Google ads on this site because they track what you’re doing-There is a Google search, but there’s also a non-Google search, one gives me money at the expense of sharing your data with Google, the other does not. You make can that choice. You may be interested to know that I do look at what people have searched. It helps me decide what articles I need to add to the site. I have no way of knowing who made the search though.
I have not gotten rid of advertising altogether. I do need to pay the bills. So you should know that if you click on an advertising link it will track you so that I can get a portion of whatever you buy. Please read my Disclosure Statement for more information about that.
I put in forums so that people have a place to chat amongst themselves that isn’t Facebook. I trust you will use whatever amount of caution you deem appropriate to protect your privacy in those forums.
I spent months moving the site to this platform from the old one because the old platform did not have the privacy features I felt were important. This software does give me access to your email and your IP address. I have no reason to look at those unless I want to contact you directly off the site (I’m not sure why I would unless I was moving formats again) or ban you. I only ban people who are real pains in the butt. I have no reason to share that information with anyone and I will do my very best to keep it safe and secret. That includes following security best practices as well as just not offering up the information to anyone.
The information that you share on your own profile has nothing to do with me and you should know that anyone in the world can see it and that’s on you. If I think you’re sharing too many personal details (like phone numbers) I will take it upon myself to delete it. Anyone sharing other peoples’ personal information will be banned. I’m not discussing it.
Okay, I think that’s everything. On to the legal jargon I don’t understand any better than you:
